Negotiations with builders
On average, equipment manufacturers account for between 60 and 85% of the cost of manufacturing a vehicle. According to the Federation of Vehicle Equipment Industries (Fiev), negotiations are very tense with manufacturers about passing on the increased costs. Price increases relate to electronic components and raw materials such as steel, nickel, lithium, palladium, energy and transportation. Equipment manufacturers are negotiating primarily with Stellantis and Renault to prepare indicators for passing increases. They are also betting on innovation, differentiation, upgrading and internationalization.
